This mixed-use property, from 239 to 247 Yonge Street, will significantly add to Toronto’s skyline, further transforming the Downtown Yonge area.
Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for Angel Developments, this breathtaking tower rises just over 221 metres featuring sweeping curves and metallic finishes. With 48,451m² of residential space and 787m² of retail space, 241 Yonge Street offers 774 rental units and various indoor and outdoor amenities. The site is currently occupied by commercial buildings, including the heritage Art Metropole building at 241 Yonge Street. The 4-storey heritage structure will be restored and incorporated into the podium of the new tower as the primary residential lobby entrance and focal point of the street-level experience. The building’s original features and architectural elements will be preserved, while the new surrounding retail spaces complement the existing façade with a modern look.
Situated in Toronto's vibrant Downtown Yonge neighbourhood, between Shuter and Dundas Street, 241 Yonge Street enhances the area’s dynamic public realm. The surrounding neighbourhood offers a wide range of retail and commercial spaces, with more high-rise developments underway. The site’s proximity to the Toronto’s transit system, including streetcar routes and subway lines, as well as the new Ontario Line 3 currently under construction, ensures excellent connectivity.
