Designed by Partisans and BDP Quadrangle, 55 Yonge will be a striking addition to Toronto’s skyline with innovative and high-quality architecture.
The tower will feature a 25-storey podium that forms into a slimmer tower with a sculpted steel exterior. The building’s shape narrows at two places, shifting to an open trellis that extends over outdoor terraces. This visually connects the podium and upper tower into one continuous design. At its peak, 55 Yonge’s tiered terraces offer expansive views while minimizing shadows on The Cathedral Church of St. James, a nearby landmark. The proposal features 836 residential units with a mix of studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units. 55 Yonge is designed to be more accessible and inviting to the public at street level. This includes offering 809 m² of retail space and 3 levels of underground parking.
Situated in Toronto’s Financial District, 55 Yonge provides convenient access to regional and local transit systems. With its prominent location on the iconic Yonge Street, residents and visitors can enjoy an abundance of dining, shopping, and entertainment opportunities.
