5500 Dundas West is a proposed development that introduces two mixed-use buildings in Toronto’s Eatonville neighbourhood. Developed by First Capital, the East building will rise 16 storeys and the West building will rise 14 storeys. Both are designed with a 4-storey podium with setback upper floors atop.
Designed by Superkül, 5500 Dundas West will introduce a total of 560 units across 45,350 square metres of residential space. The 16-storey and 14-storey buildings will house 300 and 260 units, respectively. The proposal includes 53 studios, 285 one-bedroom, 149 two-bedroom, and 73 three-bedroom units. Additionally, residential townhouse units are proposed at grade along the east, north, and west sides.
5500 Dundas West will offer its residents 1,168 square meters of outdoor amenity space situated on the podiums and 1,236 square metres of indoor amenity space starting at level 6 in both buildings. The two levels of underground parking will provide 305 vehicle spaces, 271 for residents and 34 visitors, and 430 bicycle parking spaces. A central courtyard is proposed between the two buildings with a series of landscaped pedestrian walkways throughout the site. Additionally, the proposal features 998 square metres of retail space at ground level.
Located on the northwest corner of Dundas Street West and Paulart Drive, in proximity to Cloverdale Mall, the surrounding area offers an abundance of shopping, dining, entertainment, and community events. The prime location of 5500 Dundas West provides residents with convenient access to Toronto’s TTC and GO stations.
