Hilton Continues Canadian Expansion: Set to Exceed 200 Hotels in 2025

Hilton, a leading global hospitality company, is accelerating its growth in Canada with plans to exceed 200 hotels this year. The company’s international portfolio comprises 24 brands, featuring over 8,600 properties and nearly 1.3 million rooms across 139 countries and territories.

Fueling this growth is the introduction of Tempo by Hilton to the Canadian market, one of Hilton’s newest lifestyle brands. Tempo offers thoughtfully designed accommodations and amenities that aim to create a redefined hotel experience for modern travellers seeking balance and well-being. This launch supports Hilton’s broader goal of doubling its lifestyle hotel portfolio by 2028. Other brands within this growing lifestyle portfolio include Canopy by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Graduate by Hilton, and Motto by Hilton.

Hilton currently operates more than 190 hotels in Canada, offering over 30,000 guest rooms across 13 brands. With nearly 110 more properties in various stages of development, the company is set to surpass 200 hotels this year. In 2025, Hilton expects to open 20 new hotels nationwide across multiple brands.

To meet the evolving needs of travellers, Hilton plans to introduce additional new brands and lifestyle hotels across major Canadian cities, including Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, within the next three years. With a strong development pipeline, resilient business model, and strong partnerships, Hilton is well-positioned for continued success in the Canadian hospitality market.
