Pinnacle One Yonge’s Third Tower Approved for Height Increase

The third tower of Pinnacle One Yonge, Pinnacle International’s master-planned community, has received approval from Toronto’s Committee of Adjustment (CoA) for a height increase.
Pinnacle One Yonge is set to become a landmark community in Downtown Toronto, steps from the city’s most iconic destinations. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the master-planned development features three striking towers, including some of the tallest residential buildings in Canada. This mixed-use community offers more than 80,000 sq ft of amenity space, a 50,000 sq ft community centre with a swimming pool and gym, 160,000 sq ft of retail space, and seamless connection to Toronto's transit system. Phase 1 is marked by the completion of the Prestige Tower, standing 65 storeys. The SkyTower, set to rise 106 storeys in the centre of the site, is currently under construction. The third tower of Pinnacle One Yonge is proposed to stand adjacent to the SkyTower.
The third tower has now been approved to rise 95 storeys, reaching a total height of 320.35m, further surpassing the supertall threshold of 300m. This height increase adds two residential floors and an amenity floor. The two floors will accommodate an additional 19 units, bringing the total to 1,014, while the number of affordable units will increase from 140 to 145. Additionally, the floor-to-floor heights on the upper residential floors will increase from 2.95m to 3.25m, offering 10-foot ceilings. The third tower will now include 350m² of indoor amenity space and two 177m² mezzanine levels for the penthouse suites. Despite these changes, the tower’s massing, setbacks, and podium design remain consistent with the existing zoning approvals.
